Porsche Boxster S

My room mate , call him RB , lured me to stay awake last night to watch an 80’s comedy movie- Poochakkoru mookkuthi. Today being a Sunday and the movie being one of my favourite I decided to browse till he plays the movie on his PC. Time went by , and after my constant whining he started the movie, the time was 1.30 am. The movie went on till 4.00 . Sometime in between I fell onto a deep sleep . Had to wake up early morning , to visit the temple and to offer the prayers as am preparing for a pilgrimmage to sabarimala.

Yup , enough explanation and what I wanted to convey is , I had a disastorous sleep last night and by Sunday eve 5.30 I was so damn tired that i decided to freshen up with a cup of tea. Went to the regular tea shop near Thiruvanmiyur signal.As I was approaching the shop I thought of my y’day’s car spotting ( Range Rover Vogue). Hey , will I able to see anymore of those?? To my surprise there was Land Cruiser awaiting the signal . But Land Cruiser is so common here these days . Somehow I had a gut feeling that I will be seeing something more interesting. As the signal changed to green , other cars and the Land Cruiser started to move , I stepped onto the step of the tea shop and gave a final glance to the road to see if my gut feeling is going to work out.. Surprise ..

I saw a dark blue convertible gliding towards the signal , to my luck the signal turned RED and without thinking of anything I ran across the road to have a better glance of the car . I saw Boxster S written on its boot.The top was on and I couldnt see the passengers. Well ..That was it..A Porsche Boxster S . Might be some movie star or big shot. Since I was the only one person near the median to the middle of the road and one Lorry wizz passed me while I was standing there , I decide not to take any more risks and got back to the tea shop and ordered my tea. The body of the car was so low that I couldnt see much of the car while I was near the tea shop. Watever..after some idling at the junction , the singal turned GREEN and the car moved towards ECR.

So one more to the list – Porsche Boxster S

Range Rover Vogue

To keep track of the imported cars and other automobiles I have seen in Chennai , Tamil Nadu , India..

Have seen a lots , but lost track of which all I have spotted here.Chennai buzzing with flourishing industries and traditionally famous for the wealthy and rich have had many international luxury automobiles running on her roads. I am not a master car spotter or any thing . I am just an enthusiast who likes watching cars, and enjoying the beauty. Dont bother to ask any technical questions , I would’nt be understanding your question at all.

Most of my Car spotting happens in Thiruvanmiyur junction , where the grand East Cost Road , home for the famous and the rich , meets the Chennai . So here it goes..

Ten minutes back , I saw a Large SUV at Thiruvanmiyur Jn. with a dark gray color with a middle aged person on wheels. Anybody having an eye for automobile wouldnt miss that vehicle , it was so large compared to the Scorpion stopped behind it. A TN registration , green tinted glass , and having the name RANGE ROVER on the middle and VOGUE to the right hand side of the boot.

All of a sudden the signal was green , and it disappeared from my sight.

The movie itself is too good that it brought a new trend among lovers to hand over love letters having phrases from bible. I never noticed the rest of dialog until recent. In that Solomon ( Lal ) , the lead character says – “Salomonte song of songs-il parayunna pole “. That made me search for it in internet. I did read it . Its erotica sort off and I LIKED IT..

Thought of adding that to my blog , so that next time i dont have to search and get the malayalam translation. So here it goes.

As i have written in the previous post about Die-Cast research , here is another good one I found . A store in Australia. They have a superb collection of Die-Cast and radio models of many different automobiles and aircrafts. So if you are a die-cast hobbyist in Australia or visiting Australia , do visit the store and give a review of the place.

Willys MB Die-Cast

To own an original Willys MB seems to be a distant dream. Some day , I really want to get hold of one. But till that time I need some thing keep me going right??

An affordable solution was to get a die-cast model , for which I searched a lot in Web.Google the search GOD , took me to many sites that sell die-cast models . I have short listed the ones I think is best. Sadly , they have discontinued this piece of art.

If anyone , who stumble upon this blog and have an info on how to get one of this model .Let me know!!!
